What is Selfie Mirror?
PhyGrid Selfie Mirror turns a screen with a camera into an interactive selfie mirror. It notices when someone steps up, invites them to take a selfie, and places them into up to three branded scenes, called covers. The customer picks a favourite and scans a QR code to receive it on WhatsApp. The whole flow works hands-free with voice prompts, or by touch.
Why use Selfie Mirror?
A selfie moment gives customers a reason to stop, interact, and share:
- Delight customers: A fun, memorable interaction that stands out from a regular store visit
- Brand engagement: Every cover carries your campaign artwork, and customers share it from their own phone
- Campaign ready: Swap covers, texts, and branding per campaign or season from the installation settings
Key features
Hands-free experience
- Face detection: The mirror wakes up when a visitor stands in front of it
- Voice prompts: On-screen texts are spoken aloud, with a choice of voice
- Voice commands: Visitors answer “yes” or “no” and pick a cover by saying its number
- Touch fallback: Every step also works by tapping the screen
Branded covers
- Up to three covers: Each captured selfie is cut out and placed into up to three scenes you design
- Frames and overlays: Add an overlay on top of the person, such as a magazine frame or campaign graphic
- Placement control: Set where the person stands and how large they appear in each scene
- Your look and feel: Logo, brand colours, and fonts across every screen
Delivery on WhatsApp
- Scan to receive: The customer scans a QR code, which opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message
- Instant reply: Sending the message returns the chosen cover in the same chat
- No sign-up: The customer doesn’t enter a phone number or create an account on the mirror
How it works
- A visitor stands in front of the mirror, or taps the screen
- The mirror asks whether they would like to take a selfie, and the visitor answers by voice or touch
- A countdown runs while the visitor poses, and the camera takes the photo
- The visitor is cut out of the photo and placed into each of your covers
- The visitor picks a favourite cover by voice or touch
- The visitor scans the QR code and sends the pre-filled WhatsApp message to receive the cover
If nobody interacts for a while, the mirror says goodbye and returns to the start screen.
