
What is Queue Management?
PhyGrid Queue Management is a suite of solutions that transforms how physical spaces handle visitor flow. It comes in three variants, each addressing a different aspect of the customer journey: real-time queue handling, scheduled appointments, and space capacity control. Together or individually, they reduce wait times, improve staff efficiency, and turn idle moments into engagement opportunities.
Solution variants
PhyGrid Queue Management is available in three variants that can be used independently or combined:
Queue Management โ The core walk-in queuing solution. Customers join via mobile or paper ticket, track their position in real time, and get called by staff through the Queue Manager app. Supports multi-counter setups, ticket transfer between queues, Apple Wallet, auto check-out, and notifications via SMS, email, and web push.
Appointment Booking โ Adds scheduled visits on top of queue management. Customers book a date and timeslot online, receive confirmation and reminders, then check in on arrival. Configurable slot duration and capacity, custom registration fields, and priority rules for merging walk-ins with booked visitors.
Occupancy Control โ Tracks how many people are inside a space using connected sensors and people counters. Enforces capacity limits in real time, displays go/stop status on entry signage, and queues visitors virtually when the space is full. Includes all the usual Queue and Appointment Booking capabilities.

Ticket Signage โ Waiting area display that shows now-serving ticket numbers across multiple queues.
