# Edit or delete a category

> Change a product category's title, parent or identifier in the PhyGrid Console, or delete it.

## How to edit a category

1. In the PhyGrid Console, go to **Content** → **Products** and open the **Category** tab
2. Choose the category's environment from the list at the top
3. Click the category's title
4. Change the details. The fields are the same as in [Create a category](https://learn.phygrid.com/products/create-a-category/), except **Environment**, which can't be changed
5. Click **Save category**

If you change the **Identifier**, update it in every solution setting that uses it, such as the Endless Aisle home screen categories.

## How to delete a category

Before deleting, move its products and subcategories to another category, and remove it from solution settings that use its **Identifier**.

1. Open the category as in [How to edit a category](https://learn.phygrid.com/products/edit-or-delete-a-category/#how-to-edit-a-category)
2. Click **Delete category**
3. Click **Yes** to confirm
